OK, here's my story. Bought a JMStar250 new online late last summer and have had starting issues day 1, when it's cold. It restarts fine once I can get it running and warmed up. Tried everything under the sun, then finally found a motorcycle mechanic that would be willing to work on it (very few want to work on Chinese scooters in Connecticut). Anyway, he determined the electronic choke wasn't working (after replaced some cracked o-rings), but couldn't find any schematics or further information on this scoot. Any other suggestions I can direct him to? I have tried contacting Jonway in the US and have left messages and emails to no avail. I am getting close to scraping a scoot with less than 600miles on it because of this issue. I love riding, but it's kind of hard to ride when it takes me 30+minutes to start it, or it won't start at all

sometimes its better ,more reliable & cheaper in the long run to
replace the whole carb. if its the choke that had rubber parts rot in a year.

i'd look at what you said before the acceptance of someone else's diagnosis
it takes me 30+minutes to start it---and have had starting issues day 1
hard starting = adjust valves(exhaust most likely)

wanted to let everyone know of the outcome - had to adjust valves, but my scoot's valves are the weird ones with the dials (well that's what my mechanic finally found, as I was getting way over my head and he was even struggling with this issue).
