I have "Cheng Shin" brand. I have 16711 on my "chinometer"(about 10,300 miles), with those tires. My front tire is great still, the back tire is fair---not too bad, just more wear. Tires have been on my mind lately, I guess, with it being slow riding season for me. Perhaps I may change to a better brand, but I can honestly say I'm not unhappy with the "Cheng Shin" brand. Have a good day. EDIT: Maybe compare a little on where we are at mileage/wear wise, and satisfaction of the rubbers.

Your going to have to wait on warm weather for me to get to my shed in a box on that one Frostyman. I have wondered about different brands/treads, and if any one handles better though. Still on the factory originals though.

Thx Goosey for the reply. I hear ya, I haven't been able to ride as much as my screen name says this winter. I keep my scooter in my attached garage though(with a walmart space heater), but still...

Being rubber I was thinking they must start do disintegrate like other rubber parts, but I couldn't find anything on age of tires, just tread wear.

When the sidewalls start cracking, they are too old I had to replace the tires on my '72 Trail 70 at about the 25 year mark as the cracks were looking pretty serious...

I had to replace the tires on my '72 Trail 70 at about the 25 year mark 25 years is not so bad, LOL. Were you still able to get those through a Honda dealer? That is one cute little bike. Looks like a blast on the woodsy trails.

I know mine are tubeless as well. I believe I will get the Kenda brand when they need to be replaced. A good online store for scooter tires is www.bikebandit.com They have lots of different brands and sizes. I have the 13 inch tires on mine . 130/60/13

The "05 Baron has Chen Shin, Nylon 3.5-10 only 2200 miles, little wear. The "09 i-scooter has Hong Dow, 3.5-10, the tire has more pattern in the tread than the other. Too new to tell how it wears yet.

I ride a 2007 Sunl 150 cc Adventure with 11208 kms (6,966 mi) & 130/60-13 tubeless front/rear Innova brand original tires that came with the scooter. I keep the front tire pressure at 26 psi & the rear at 32 psi. I ride conservatively; gentle starting out & paced, ample-spaced breaking; no stopping on a dime. I don't ride faster than 45 mph.
It's good that you, FrostyMan, have a yield of 10,000 + miles on your Cheng Shin tires. What size are they? Bigger diameter tires can yield longer life. The local Honda dealer says that the rear tire has an estimated 500 mi of wear left on it. The front has more.
I do not recommend the Innova brand because the molds used to form the tires are old & out of round, causing them to have high spots on the circumference of the tire. Thus the ride is a bump bump bump one on a flat smooth road.
The Kenda brand, albeit cheaper than others, does not have this condition. The Honda dealership charges $36 for this tire, to which we add 8% sales tax here in NY state. I wonder if I should try the Cheng Shin brand or the Kenda when I change.

Thx. They are 3.5(width?) and they are 10 inchers and tubeless. They came with the scooter. I have approx 21,000 on my odometer now (approx 13,050 miles), and the back tire is getting bald: The front still looks good: It's my first set of scooter tires ever, but I think I'd buy them again. I don't see why not. Hopefully they are of the same quality They seem ok to me!
