top box lock jammed

OK, I just did one post and have a different issue.
Last year I purchased a Bestman t-box for a top/helmet box and love the spacious room. I took it out from winter storage a few weeks ago (yes, I did start is periodically during the snow months). Anyway, starting wasn't too much an issue, but when I went to find my gloves in my top box, the lock seemed jammed. So I got the dry graphite out and other lubes and still the lock won't budge - it's as if the key isn't cut right, but it's the one on my scoot keys that I used all last year. And last year, the key used to go in cleanly and turn without a glitch. The key will go in, but not turn. We own a hardware store and are very used to jammed lock issues, but can't seem to figure out a solution this problem. Any suggestions?

Try some WD40. Spray it on your key as well .

Well you can try jiggling the key, more lube, or What I do after all else has failed. Take out a baseball bat and make the sucker pay for causing you frustration. Just kidding, or am I.

If you have the scoot outside, the lock may be frozen especially if something moist was left inside. Activate one of those chemical hand warmers that hunters use and strap it against the lock and cover the area with a small blanket for several hours. If you have any kind of massager or vibrator around the house, insert the key in the lock and press it against the key as you attempt to turn it.

Or if all else fails clamp a vise grip to a screwdriver and break that sucker! Then buy a new lock of course...
