If you have a scoot with a key with the offset-angled oval plastic head, you can get a key made locally... cheap!

Go down to the local hardware store and ask for a DC3 blank.  Ilco calls it an X121.  Like this one.

I had the local Hardware Hank cut one for me and although the guy kept saying "This'll never work", it did.

$2.50 out the door...

Wow, karma for that one  Smiley I never liked how those keys fit on the ring with my other keys. The Ace guy insisted he couldn't do it. I will have to give it another try Smiley

i have the plastic type great advice i am going to try it tomorrow Cheesy

i have had places say no
 now i will force issue a little with the key #'s, one time i almost lost the remote section? if that happens can the scooter still run right?
what do you do about alarm mode if that happens?

can i get a spare remote thing or are they matched frequency to alarm unit as a set?

yea!
now i have a spare key hardware store had a DC3

the person kept saying does that have a chip in it if it does it won't work

i said don't worry just make it if it doesn't work i'll throw it away, it would have taken a long time to try to match a blank by eye...thanks scooterforum!
