I'm not sure how concerned I should be about this or not, but my new Roketa 250 scooter will reach just about a mm shy of the high temperature redline within about 4 minutes of 60mph travel.  It usually stays cooler if I am only running 40mph or so.  I have just reached the 300 mile mark, so I am going to be changing the oil.

I'm not sure if it is just elevated friction in the engine with the old oil, a radiator issue, or a faulty temperature gage.  I wanted to see if anyone had some history on these engines to point me in a direction on what is causing the high temp reading.

Thank!
Mark

Air cooled or water cooled? I am not familiar with water cooled, but change the oil15w40, and gear oil 75w90 or 80w90 as you said, it may help. And make sure the fan and engine shrouds are intact...new spark plug or cooler range of spark plug?
