Hello,
I love scooters and have always been meaning to buy one. Now I want to buy one for sure. I've done some asian travel  and love the scooters they have over there...especially indonesia and vietnam.
Here are a couple of the models that I rode while over there...

Honda Vario, Yamaha Jupiter, Honda Supra and Yamaha Mio

All of which I think are only available in Asia. Have you heard of these bikes? Do you know of any American versions of these bikes or similar styles.

I really don't like the vespa style or the style where you put your feet together in front of the seat. I like the motorcycle -side foot post styles of the bikes I mentioned above.
thanks so much for your help!
cheers,
Micah Wright

You may want to look at the Kymco line of scooters. They are available in styles simular to what you like. made in Taiwan, a bit pricier than the Chinese scoots, also higher quality. In my town it's the scooter brand sold at the Harley dealership.

If it is just the styling you are looking for, you can search any number of scooter dealerships that sell the Chinese scooters and possibly find a similar style scooter to what you want. Buying a Chinese scooter though is not for everybody. That it a hole other topic and has been hashed out before.
