Where can I find....?

I am looking for information about a Velocity 150 cc scooter.  Anyone know much about it?  Also, I am trying to locate an even smaller "run-a-round" the neighborhood if I decide the Velocity is too large for that purpose.  I remember the old Moped which was used on side roads.  Any information you can share which would help me decide, would be appreciated.

If it is the one I'm familiar with, it is a Chinese made GY6 based scooter. They are sold on many internet dealers for about $700.00 plus shipping usually. The GY6 was designed by Honda. As far as a place to go to get specific information for the scooter, that would be hard to find, other than asking questions here. There are tons of scooters from China made on this format. If you actually have a local brick and mortar dealership that carries it, I think it should sell for no more than $1,200.00, but try to get it for about $1,000.00

The average person should be able to ride it at speeds of about 50-55 mph. Fuel economy should be 70 - 80 mpg. Riding it on surface streets should not be a problem, You will not want to take it on a freeway.

If you are not a person that can do your own work on it you will need to find a mechanic that will service Chinese scooters, almost no big name scooter shops/motorcycle shops will work on them. Forums like this one will have lots of advice on fixing them yourself.
