Thats my scooter.($150!!!!)
the certificate of origin says 1.8 horsepower... feels like it... pulls up to like 20 then crawls to 30-35...
what can i do to help it get up to 30-35 faster? im not looking for any miracles... ima go over the scooter to "derestrict it" this weekend... it looks simple enough, just if the cvt has those rings on it im not too sure what exactly to do...

im convertin it to a 150 next spring (i know, illegal) so what are the most cost effective mod's for the 50cc for now?

gas guage dont work? is this a float or?

also the speedometer is in kilometers... do they sell ones that show miles? i got 3555 kilo's(2209 miles) on it now... just dont like having to bust out the conversion calc. every time i wanna know mileage...

thank you in advance... ill let ya know how it turns out this weekend...

China bike= China speedometer Can't do nothing for you there. By the way the China speedometers are usually off by 10mph. If it says your going 40 mph in reality it is only 30mph.
Change your present roller weights to 5 gram roller weights
It will get you up to that 35 mph mark much faster . Do not expect to go any faster than that until you install your illegal 150cc engine.

Welcome to the forum.

I'd suggest you look at a 150cc motor and compare it to the 50cc one, the motor mounts are normally much different. A 150cc will have the mount on top and a 50cc usually has it on the bottom of the motor. Some 50cc long case motors do have top mounts.

Usual 50cc

If you have 13 inch wheels, you might have an easier swap
50cc long case

It is not possible to mount a 150cc engine in a 50cc frame, the frames are built completely different.
(besides the fact that it's incredibly dangerous)

The gas guage, yes it's a float. No special tool required. If it's connected and wires are good, the two times I had a faulty gas guage it was the float that was the problem. Mine go in on top of the gas tank, you'll want to pull it out and see if the metal arm is moving freely in there. The metal arm is held with a small lock washer, that may be too tite to the mechanism, just adjust it out slightly. Don't lose the rubber gasket.
I also had a float turn to mush in the tank, in that case make sure all bits are cleaned out of the tank, and replace the thing.
