Im not too sure what im experencing, but I just purchased a 150cc rocketa. It runs pretty good now that most of the problems I was experiencing is sorted out (blown headlight bulbs etc.) One problem im experiencing is when im running along WOT at 6200rpms, it dosent want to rev any higher then that, its basically stuck there and wont continue to climb (unless im going downhill) it feels as if theres a rev limiter preventing me from going over 6200rpms on a flat surface? Is there a rev limiter on these scooters that wont allow them to rev over 6200rpms? Or am I experencing a lean condition sputter/misfire? Let me know some of your guys thoughts. Thanks.

What is your speed at 6200 rpms? If it is 50 to 55 mph, on a flat surface, that is all you can expect out of a 150cc engine.

I had the same question as my 150cc(Jonway/Roketa/Tank/Jmstar) runs up to 7000 and stays there no matter what, and the redline shows 8000.... it would be nice to get there... even pegged at 7000 it will climb up to 50mph indicated but it would be nice to touch the redline every now and then....I've heard that removing a washer/bushing in the variator will let it wind out more on top end but haven't as yet tried that....it seems that the tach is like the speedometer in that they all vary and aren't necessarily accurate.
And on top of everything else it seems changing the rollers and springs and jets and intake and exhaust and putting DynaBeads in the tires the list goes on and on what one can do to squeeze every ounce outta these things you'd think they'd do one or two at the factory just to see if all that trouble is worth it

It's still only a little 150cc engine. You want more you'll need bigger. You can push it, but you'll kill the engine if you try to make it do more than it was meant to do.
