I have had a bad run of luck with this scoot this first motor i had in it got cracked open by the swing arm when the bolts disappeared with out my knowing

So i went on craigslist and found a used motor for replcement swapped the motors and as muh of the components i could for compatability only to find that upon reassembly and starting the scoot the starter gear set was damaged so i replaced it and am now capable of starting the new motor the problem i have now is that i am unable to figure out why the rear wheel is not engaging

I have checked.the variator and belt for any issues none are present
I have no.clue as to where i may begin to look for signs of am issue

Other information that might be useful the rear wheel begins to engage at wot but with a.slight grind coming from the clutch area i was wondering if it is agear that can be replaced or maybe bad gear oil or if my clutch may be bad

The only way to check it is to open it up, and take off the clutch and inspect it. There are gears that can be accessed behind the clutch, there should be gear oil in that part of the engine which you'll need to drain before you open that up to check the gears. You should be able to swap out any of these parts from the old engine, if the only problem was a cracked case, the CVT parts and gears should be ok. Do you have an engine manual your working by? If not go here, and the manual you want for the 150 is the ARROW MANUAL.

i had gotten rid of my old motor before even thinking i would need spare pieces from it stupid on my part i know but when inspecting the clutch what am i looking for exactly on the clutch and as for gear oil i know that it is 80/90 i believe and how would i chk the status of the oil in there? is it possible that low levels of gear oil could cause this issue? i know the splines on rear tire are intact i read another thread and thought i would check and make sure they were in tact they are fine so i believe the issue is on the clutch or gear oil or anything between.

Take the cover off and spin the clutch bell with your hand. The wheel should turn when you spin it. No turn = bad gears in the gear(s) box.

Not too hard, if you down loaded that manual it shows prretty clearly. You drain the gear oil, this tutorial shows you how to change oil and gear oil,

You'll see that you fill that until it starts to come out.
You'll still need to remove the clutch, which you will need an impact to do with a 17mm socket, you need to remove several bolts behind that to open up the section with the gears.

Check out the clutch though first before you do that, again, impact tool to take the clutch off, a cheap 12v emergency impact wrench is my favorite tool. You are looking for broken springs, foreign objects.
You can compress the clutch spring enough to dissasemble it by laying a spare tire over it centered, that will compress it enough to un do the large nut, then you can get a good look at the pads and springs.

That's similar to when my clutch pad broke. I couldn't turn the wheel because the pad arm was wedged on the clutch bell. Also, since the pad was wedged in the clutch bell, when I started my scooter---- the wheel would spin really, really fast at idle. I can't remember if I heard any strange noises though.
