Well, hello there ladies and gentlemen!

Sad to say, but i've been neglecting my scooter a bit (for the last 6-9 months or so.  Good news is, that I did change the oil before putting it aside, took out the battery, kept it garaged, and all that other good stuff.  But, the reason I put it aside to begin with is that i'm having some electrical issues.  I went ahead and bought a new magneto, and new regulator.  I've put in the regulator, but am having trouble replacing the magneto because I cant take off that blasted flywheel cover.  I have the flywheel puller, but it still seems to be stuck on there.

Also, aside from that, it seems like my headlights have been burned out.  I'm hoping (without checking yet) that its just the bulbs.  Assuming a worst-case scenario, and its not the bulbs, any suggestions as to where the problem might be?  The rear (brake lights) work fine, but only when he brakes are applied.  If the engine is just running, the rear lights are off (although they should be on, similar to a car when the cars headlights are turned on).

Lastly, help me give the thing a once-over before i start riding this thing again.  Any suggestions of where to look, and what to change/upgrade/whatever would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.  Cheesy

If you build up a lot of pressure on the flywheel puller and the flywheel doesn't want to pop off, leave the puller on there with all that pressure still and tap the flywheel itself around the edge with a brass hammer or a regular hammer. DON"T HIT IT REAL HARD! Just tap on it and the vibrations will usually break it free.

You can tell if the bulbs are burnt out by looking at them. They usually turn black or get a black haze on the inside when they blow and the little filament coils inside will be broken.

If you need any parts ask me first cause I have a complete copy that I'm parting out. Pictures available upon request.

The bad magneto aka stator, is probably the cause of the bulbs very likely being blown. Once replaced they should be ok, with the new stator. If they are blown don't replace until you have the new magneto/stator in. Try like Fox said, or some tap the end of the flywheel remover. I smack the wrench that is connected to the remover, one quick one.
