New Tank Racer 150

Greetings Tank owners:
Let me start with a little background. I am 60 yrs old and had never ridden a motorcycle or scooter untill a couple weeks ago. When the price of gas jumped to 3.19 a gallon I thought that a scooter might be a way to save on gas and have some fun in the process. I started looking at local motorcycle dealers for a Name-Brand scooter. I was really disappointed when I saw the prices, and pretty much gave up on the idea. On the way home from one of those dealers I saw a store that had scooters in front, so I stopped to take a look. The store had 8 Tank scooters on the floor, and was pleased to see that the prices were much lower than other dealers. After 3 trips back I deceided I had to have one. I really liked the Touring 150, but after talking to the manager for awhile, I let him talk me into a Racer 150. He convinced me that it would suit my needs better; short trips around town and to and from work. I told him I had never ridden a scooter before and had no way to get it home. Much to my suprise he told me that he needed about an hour to check it out, and would deliver it to my house that afternoon. About 3 hours later the door bell rang and there it was. He had ridden it to my house followed by a co-worker. He spent about a half hour going over everything on the scooter and got me riding it up and down the street.
I got it registered and tagged the next day, and got my motorcycle licence 3 days later. That turned out be much eaiser than I expected. I have about 75 miles on the thing now with no problems. I feel pretty comforatable away from traffic, but still a litte nervous in traffic, I'm sure that will get better the more I ride it. I did set the idle speed up about a half turn, seemed just a little slow, although it never died on me.
I'm looking forward to many miles of economical riding.
