I joined today.  I’ve just been given a 2005 Urban Sporty 50QT-9.  It has 2,500 kilometers/1,553 miles on it.  Neat scooter.  A few unrelated questions:

a)   I am located in Dallas, Texas.  Are there dealers/repair facilities anywhere in Texas?
b)   The scooter can accelerate to 75 kph/46.6 mph: does this mean it is a misrepresented 72 cc engine I read about elsewhere?
c)   what is the best spark plug for this engine?
d)   are these scooters (and which model) reliable enough to set up a rental operation, given the low sticker price in relation to maintenance and obtaining parts . . . assuming an upscale urban renter in a dense metro environment (no kids, no drinkers, people who won’t immediately run them into a wall, etc.)?
e)   anyone producing a readable operators manual or a ‘do-it-yourself’ repair manual?

For enquiring minds . . .

If you find a mechanic in Dallas, let me know.

Go to the Yahoo! Tank Scooter user's group and there is an English version of the owner's manual available for downloading

There was a dealer off Harry Hines but I don't know if he still handles Tanks or if he stocks parts.  There is a Chinese scooter dealer on Stemmons north of Valley View and another one on Beltline and Marsh.
